this is a song for my mommy

ok, so you don't have lil' kids anymore but you've got grandkids so you're doin' the same thing still...and yes, you are a looker.

my ultimate favorite thing about my mom is how funny she is...not on purpose though. oh the things that come out of her mouth make me laugh...oh yes, and then there's the falls. one time she fell like a tree, literally. no hands out to help the landing. she tucked her arms in and everything and i was like, "why didn't you try to catch yourself or put your hand out to help the fall!?!" and she said, "because i knew i was going down so i just thought 'brace yourself, you're goin down.'" HUH? nice logic mom. :) and there's the time she fell on the treadmill. not just a small tumble...no, she was running and flew off the back (one of the grandkids...not sure which one...saw the entire thing and gasped "grandma, are you ok?"...i didn't witness this but she described it well enough that it still plays in my head from time to time). she said it was a malfunction or something (hmm, then why do you still have it?). she fell cleaning a window...which ended in a broken wrist. she fell off of the snowmobile going up a steep mountain that was for way more advanced riders than her...the snowmobile rolled over her body and this resulted in large bruising up and down her body. i could go on but i've laughed enough for tonight.

mom, i love you and i'm glad that god made you my mom. as preston would say, "i love you more than jesus loves me." :)
